Sorry for taking so long to up date this page about our new dog Effie.
In April 2006 the owner
of the pet store that we bought Libby from asked us if we could handle another
dog so soon after losing Libby. She had
something like 10 dogs and needed to “thin out the herd” as it were. She offered us this little half pug half
The very first day
Effie came home she made friends with everyone that came by. Here she is “lap dogging” our
She’s not much to look at. She’s only 10 pounds but she makes up for that in her “pug-ness”.
When we were staying at our friend’s ranch, they went off on a vacation and their big dog and kitten came to our room and hung out for the day. Here it looks like they are all getting along but there is still some space between them.
Later I laid down to take a nap with them all and Effie growled at the big dog and little kitten for getting too close to me. I didn’t think she had it in her.
This is one of Effie’s favorite activities; lying in my lap all curled up.

Actually, she just wants a snack.
