If you’ve been reading some of the other pages, you should have realized by now that we moved from Florida to Tennessee. We live near Crossville Tennessee or, more precisely, near Pleasant Hill Tennessee near Crossville. We live “out in the country” which means that everything is a “f’r piece” from our house. To get to Crossville is a 20 minute drive. We live on 2 acres with about half of it being woods. The land slopes down hill toward a “gully” and then back up hill. When we saw the house and property back in the summer of 2006, the woods were green and somewhat over grown with underbrush. That’s important because when we took possession of the house (in the fall) that’s when we saw all the junk that the previous owner left for us in the woods. He didn’t think it was a big deal and he refused to remove it so we will have to do that some day. I won’t post any photos of the junk in the woods or the other junk that was around the property. At least there wasn’t any old broken down pick-up trucks out in the woods!

Here are some photos we took of the house in August 2006 when we went to Crossville on our second house hunting trip. This would be the front part of the property as seen from the road. Notice the 2 car garage in the middle photo. Unfortunately, Margaret will only let me have half of it for a shop. The cars and the big dog belong to the sellers.

The back deck is on the left and the pool deck is in the middle. I like the deck because I can stand there are see out into the woods. Margaret really wanted the pool. I’ve already dealt with two of them before and I really didn’t want another one.

The photo on the left is the house across the road from us. The house is hard to see because it is below our elevation and it is behind a bunch of trees. The photo on the right is the house to the north of us. It is about an acre or more away from us.

The photo on the left is looking south. It is very hard to see the house to the south which is about an acre away. The photo on the left is looking down the road to the south. We definitely live out in the country.
